Dear Self
Dear Self,
I know life hasn’t looked the way you imagined it would by now. There were moments you felt behind, overwhelmed, exhausted, confused, and honestly a little lost. You carried stress that nobody really saw — the pressure of school, debt, uncertainty, trying to figure out your purpose while still showing up every day pretending you had it together. But somehow, even in your hardest moments, you kept going.
I’m proud of you for that.
I’m proud of the version of you that got back up after rejection. The version of you that cried quietly and still handled responsibilities the next morning. The version of you that kept dreaming even when reality felt heavy. You’ve survived seasons that would’ve made other people quit.
You care deeply. You love hard. You want a meaningful life, not just a comfortable one. That’s why things affect you so strongly sometimes. But that sensitivity is not weakness — it’s part of what makes you creative, compassionate, and capable of building something beautiful.
You are not late.
You are not failing.
You are becoming.
One day, you’re going to look back at this version of yourself with so much tenderness. The long nights, the uncertainty, the rebuilding, the lessons — all of it is shaping you into someone stronger, wiser, and more grounded than you realize right now.
Keep believing in your ideas.
Keep betting on yourself.
Keep creating.
Keep healing.
Keep praying.
Keep showing up.
The life you want is not ignoring you. It’s taking time to prepare you for it.
And even if nobody says it enough:
I’m proud of you for making it this far.
Love,
Self 💜
