R.O.S.E 🌹

For today's personal development, I’m watching Are You Growing in Life by Vishen Lakhiani (on YouTube University). He says we should use the acronym R.O.S.E., and not the toy, you nasty little... It stands for Rate of Self-Evolution.

He explains that we should grow so fast that our friends who haven’t spoken to us in a couple of months, due to life just lifing, nothing toxic, would have to get to know us all over again. And I love this way of thinking because I remember when old friends or past individuals I used to date would reach out to me a year or two later, and they would still have the same mindset and be in the same environment or circumstance as when I last spoke to them.

Like, how did you not grow at all in a whole year? And no, I’m not talking about getting a new car, a new apartment, or new clothes. I’m talking real personal/inner growth. For me, that kind of turns me off because it seems like they lack self-realization that they need to grow. Maybe they might actually fill that void they are feeling instead of reaching out to me out of boredom or trying to be nosy.

We are not placed here in this world to not grow and test new waters. Fear will keep you in a mental cage that will then feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. For me, when I released fear recently, I felt like a lightweight feather. Each day I pray to wake up fearless, do and say things that come from my heart and not so much my mind. That mind will play tricks on you, but anywho.

Another example he gave was if you set aside 20 minutes a day (at a minimum) for 1 year, you would be further along than not working on it at all ALL YEAR! Do you hear that? Small progress is way better than no progress, so just start somewhere.

This year, I want to make sure I keep this attitude towards my own goals daily so I can keep pressing forward with my ROSE.🌹
