I think the code to this "job life" is asking yourself: what's a job that, if they called me today, I could show up and give 100% with little to no training? Like, really think. What are you naturally good at? Yapping? Drawing blood? Educating people on things you actually care about? Painting? Writing? Whatever that thing is, that's your lane, and you should be finding work that aligns with that.

For me, I like yapping (I call it speaking life now). I like educating people on things I feel passionate about, not pointless conversations with no substance, or just complaining. I like seeing where people's heads are at. And I like to move around, I need that fast-paced energy. So I thought ICU would be perfect for me.

News flash: I didn't get any ICU offers, and I was deeply depressed.

Fast forward two months later, I got a job at a rehabilitation med-surg facility. And if they told me to come in within the next hour, I'd eat that up. I'd be running circles around people lol, because my background is rehab. My old job (the one that let me go) was rehab too. I was a med passer, shift leader, CNA—all of that.

And I told myself I wanted to live full-time and work part-time.....guess what? The position is part-time!!!

I still get to do something I'm naturally good at and get paid for it. II plan to use that money to invest and pour back into my business, and the overflow will go to my family and friends in different ways.

I'm so excited. Even though it took two months, I'm proud I figured it out in two months and not two years.

Thank you, Lord. I'm ready for the pieces to be put back together now.
